Mobile IV Group Events in Boston

Our nurses regularly staff groups from 2 up to 20+ guests. For larger events (bachelor/bachelorette parties, corporate wellness days, wedding parties, film sets), we send multiple RNs so everyone is dripping in parallel and no one waits.

Group events use flat per-person pricing based on drip selection and headcount — typically starting around $200/person for the group. The per-person rate drops as the group grows. Contact us with your date, location, and headcount for a same-day quote.

For groups we recommend booking at least 48–72 hours in advance so we can dedicate the right number of nurses. Same-day group bookings are sometimes possible — call us and we'll do our best.

Lactated Ringer's (LR) is a sterile, balanced crystalloid IV fluid that contains sodium, chloride, potassium, calcium, and sodium lactate in concentrations close to your own blood plasma. It's the same fluid used in hospitals and emergency departments. We use Lactated Ringer's as the base fluid in our IV drips because the added electrolytes and lactate buffer replace what you actually lose through sweat, illness, vomiting, or alcohol — not just water and salt.

Normal saline is 0.9% sodium chloride in water — sodium and chloride only. Lactated Ringer's adds potassium and calcium and includes lactate, which the liver converts to bicarbonate to help buffer acidity. Because its chloride level is closer to plasma, LR is generally considered gentler for larger-volume rehydration. Both are sterile, pharmaceutical-grade fluids; we chose LR as the standard base for our drips.

Clinically, Lactated Ringer's is used whenever fluid and electrolyte losses need to be replaced together — dehydration, hangover and GI-related fluid loss, heat and endurance exertion, illness with fever or vomiting, and post-procedure recovery. In our clinics it's the base for hydration and vitamin drips, and your nurse selects the volume and any add-ins for your visit under our Medical Director's standing protocols.

A licensed registered nurse reviews your intake and vitals, confirms there are no contraindications, then places a small IV catheter — usually in the forearm or hand — using single-use sterile supplies and aseptic technique. The Lactated Ringer's bag is spiked with a fresh IV set, primed, and infused by gravity at a nurse-set rate, typically 30–60 minutes for a liter. Any vitamins, minerals, or medications ordered under protocol are added to the bag or given as a slow IV push. Your nurse stays with you and monitors you throughout, then removes the catheter and applies a dressing at the end.

No — the volume is a clinical decision. Most standard drips are 1 liter, but your nurse may run a smaller volume or a slower rate based on your size, vitals, medical history, and how you're tolerating the infusion. If anything changes during your visit, the nurse can slow or stop the infusion at any time.

Lactated Ringer's may not be appropriate if you have significant kidney or liver disease, congestive heart failure, high potassium or calcium levels, or if you take medications that affect electrolyte balance. It's also not compatible with certain drugs in the same line. That's why every visit begins with a nurse-led intake and screening — if LR isn't right for you, we'll say so and refer you to your physician rather than proceed.
