What's in the Brainstorm IV — and why

Every Brainstorm IV bag is built on a liter of Lactated Ringer's and layered with three focus-supporting nutrients, selected by your nurse. Hover or tap any card for benefits and cautions:

  • Lactated Ringer's

    Rapid, balanced rehydration

A balanced electrolyte fluid with sodium, potassium, calcium, and lactate. Dehydration is one of the most common causes of brain fog, fatigue, and poor concentration — a full liter restores fluid balance faster than drinking water alone.

  • Taurine

    Calm, steady focus

An amino acid that supports neurological function, cellular hydration, and a smooth, jitter-free sense of alertness — focus without the caffeine edge.

    Tap or hover for cautions

  • Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA)

    Cellular energy + antioxidant support

A powerful antioxidant that supports mitochondrial energy production and nerve health, and helps regenerate other antioxidants your brain relies on.

    Tap or hover for cautions

  • Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6)

    Neurotransmitter support

Essential for producing serotonin, dopamine, and GABA — the neurotransmitters behind concentration, memory, and mood.

Nurse pick: pair it with NAD+

Add a NAD+ injection ($75) to your Brainstorm IV for our sharpest mental-clarity combo. NAD+ supports cellular energy metabolism at the mitochondrial level — the straight-A's upgrade for big exam weeks and deadline sprints. Just tap it on at booking.

Before you book — please read

  • IV therapy is administered by licensed nurses under medical oversight. Every visit begins with a health screen and vitals check.
  • Alpha-lipoic acid can lower blood sugar. Tell your nurse if you take insulin or other diabetes medications before your drip.
  • Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without clearance from your physician.
  • A full liter of IV fluid is a real volume load. Your nurse will screen for heart, kidney, and liver conditions before starting.
  • IV nutrient therapy is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and is not a substitute for medical care, sleep, or a balanced diet.
  • Individual results vary. If you feel lightheaded or unwell at any point, tell your nurse immediately — the infusion can be slowed or stopped.

FAQ

Brainstorm IV Boston — frequently asked questions

How much does the Brainstorm IV cost in Boston?

Brainstorm IV Boston is $169. That price is all-inclusive — licensed nurse time, all supplies, and every listed ingredient. Members save 10%. Mobile service to your home, hotel, or office adds a flat $100 concierge fee, charged once per visit rather than per person.

What is in the Brainstorm IV?

1 liter Lactated Ringer's, Taurine, Alpha-Lipoic Acid, Pyridoxine (B6). Your nurse reviews the full ingredient list, your medical history, and any contraindications with you before starting.

How long does the Brainstorm IV take?

About 45–60 minutes. Add roughly 15 minutes for the nurse assessment beforehand, and for mobile visits, a few minutes of setup and post-treatment monitoring before your nurse leaves.

Who is the Brainstorm IV best for?

It is most often booked for focus, mental clarity, studying, long workdays, and brain fog. If you are not sure which option fits, take our drip quiz or let your nurse match you at check-in — there is no charge to switch before treatment starts.

Can I book the Brainstorm IV today?

Usually, yes. Walk-ins are welcome at both South Boston clinics — 36 A Street (West Campus) and 47 L Street (East Campus) — during open hours, and mobile visits are typically dispatched within 60–90 minutes of booking.

Who is the Brainstorm IV best for?

Students during exam season, professionals facing deadline sprints, anyone fighting brain fog or poor sleep recovery, and travelers dealing with circadian disruption. It is designed as a focus and alertness boost, not a treatment for diagnosed cognitive or psychiatric conditions.

When should I book it for best results?

Most clients schedule it the day before a big test, presentation, or long shift, or first thing on a heavy workday. The fluids take effect quickly, while taurine and alpha-lipoic acid help smooth out jittery alertness without a caffeine crash. Pairing it with a NAD+ injection adds longer-lasting cellular energy support.

Are there side effects?

Common effects are mild and short-lived: a cool feeling at the IV site, a slight metallic taste during the infusion, or needing to urinate more afterward as the liter of fluid moves through. Less commonly, alpha-lipoic acid can lower blood sugar and cause lightheadedness. Tell your nurse immediately if you feel unwell — the drip can be slowed or stopped.

Does it interact with medications or conditions?

Alpha-lipoic acid can enhance the effect of insulin and other diabetes medications, so blood sugar should be watched closely. Tell your nurse about thyroid meds, chemotherapy regimens, kidney or liver disease, and any pregnancy or breastfeeding. We will screen every booking and adjust or recommend a different drip if needed.

Who administers the treatment?

A licensed registered nurse, every time, under protocols directed by our Medical Director Olivia Kelly, NP. IV League Hydration has been nurse-owned and operated in Boston since 2018, and we use single-use sterile supplies on every visit.

Do you come to my home, hotel, or office?

Yes. Mobile visits cover all Boston neighborhoods plus Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Newton, Medford, and South Shore towns including Quincy, Milton, Braintree, Weymouth, and Hingham. The flat $100 concierge fee is charged once for the visit, so groups and events are especially cost-effective.
